The Mortal Kombat 9 national tournament will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at Bally's Hotel and Casino on the weekend of May 14th -15th 2011. PDP has guaranteed a prize pool of $21,000 to be paid to the top 8 finishers, with the champion being awarded $10,000 in cash! This will be a double elimination format tournament starting with Day 1 qualifying rounds. The top 2 from each qualifying round will face off in the semi-finals bracket on Day 2 for a shot at a big payday and the right to be called "The Mortal Kombat 9 National Champion"!

The National Mortal Kombat 9 Tournament will be played on the Xbox 360 system and EXCLUSIVELY using the official Mortal Kombat Fight Stick by PDP (which will be provided at the tournament free of charge for use by contestants). If you do not have your Mortal Kombat Fight Stick already, now would probably be a good time to get one and start practicing to get familiar with the controls and layout.

This is an open, two-day, national tournament, and anyone 18 and over can enter. We are expecting hundreds of competitors from all over the country.
